Success at the Auckland Championships

We are thrilled to share the remarkable achievements of our athletes at the Auckland Athletics Championships held on Tuesday 26 March. Representing our school with exceptional talent and dedication, the following boys showcased their prowess on the track and field:

• Vaetamasoalii Sipia - Shot Put
• Jett Nash - Long Jump and High Jump
  
• Pio Lefai - Long Jump and High Jump
• Tane Keereweer-Taia - 200m, 100m, and Relay
  
• Larenz Pua - Relay
• Laverneus Nicholas Pita - Relay
• Daniel Kali - Relay
• Compton Purcell - Relay
• Benjamin Tohi - Relay
• Ezekiel Davidson Fa'aiuaso - Long Jump and Relay

These exceptional athletes were selected by College Sport based on their outstanding performances at the Central Zone Championships just a few weeks prior, marking the largest squad we have ever taken to compete at this prestigious level.

Under the radiant Auckland sun, our boys demonstrated sheer determination and skill, all making it to the finals in their respective events, with a few narrowly missing out on bronze medals.

Notable medal winners include:

• Pio Lefai: Bronze in High Jump, Bronze in Long Jump
• Tane Keereweer-Taia: Silver in 200m, Bronze in 100m

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to these remarkable athletes and their supportive families for their unwavering commitment and dedication.

A special thank you goes to Rach Keereweer and the Waitakere Athletics Club for their invaluable support and guidance throughout this thrilling athletics season.
