Last week, we celebrated Cook Island Week. The theme for this year was ‘Ātui’ia au ki te vaka o tōku matakeinanga - connect me to the canoe of my tribe’.
The week saw students celebrate Cook Island culture in a variety of ways. Whether it was addressing the school during morning assembly or taking part in language week activities during class, students were encouraged to embrace Cook Island culture and this year's theme.
Well done to Christian Fa'aui (Year 9) and Juel-Sardius Turua (Year 10) who were chosen as this year's speakers and who showed great pride in celebrating their culture. Thank you to Ms Eniatia for supporting these students.
