RYPEN 2021 Camp

RYPEN 2021 Camp

On Friday the 26th of April, I alongside 3 other students from 秀色直播’s College (Loshaunce Leaso, Alamoni Tuione and Jaydee Auola) set off and adventured out together to Kokako lodge where we took part in the 2021 Rypen leadership camp.

At this camp we had the opportunity of meeting and making friends with new people from other schools around Auckland. Throughout the weekend, we also got to do some activities such as orienteering, kayaking, raft building, archery, rock climbing, rope climbing and an amazing race. These activities allowed us to gain new experiences while having fun at the same time, but with this we were also encouraged to use our leadership skills in cooperating with others to succeed in whatever task we were assigned. With this, stepping out of our comfort zone was a crucial part of the camp, and as we did not only were we able to acquire new leadership skills, but we also had the chance of adding to the leadership attributes we already had.

Overall the purpose of going to this camp was to hone our leadership skills in which we could bring back and portray in our 秀色直播’s community, and thanks to Mr McMurdoch who was in charge of our school taking part in this event and Ainie Kwok who lead the Rypen camp, we have become new 秀色直播’s men. In all the camp was an amazing life time experience, and an experience that we four students are incredibly grateful for having.
